Commonwealth Secretary-General holds bilateral talks with Prime Minister of Samoa

(Apia, 25 March 2024) The Commonwealth Secretary-General, the Rt Hon Patricia Scotland KC this morning paid a courtesy call and held bilateral talks with Samoas’ Prime Minister Hon Fiame Naomi Mataafa. The Secretary-General and her delegation are in the country to discuss with Samoa’s government officials preparatory arrangements for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting scheduled to be held in October in Apia. The Secretary-General and her delegation will depart Samoa on Friday, 29 March and will travel to Nuku’alofa, Tonga for her first official visit to the Kingdom.
