About the Commonwealth People's Forum

The Commonwealth People’s Forum brings together civil society representatives from across the Commonwealth to discuss key issues facing the Peoples of the Commonwealth. It is the single largest opportunity for civil society to engage with Commonwealth leaders on global development issues.

The People’s Forum 2024 is organised by the Commonwealth Foundation in close collaboration with the Host Government through the Public Service Commission and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and the Samoa Umbrella of Non-Governmental Organisation (SUNGO). It will focus on the challenges and opportunities in delivering people-centred governance across the Commonwealth, exploring some of the most urgent issues of our time—climate justice, health justice and freedom of expression—and centering the plight of small and vulnerable states, women and young people.
